Allianz Cornhill Commercial has moved to strengthen its position in the expanding risk management sector with the launch of Risk Director.
The free online risk management service is designed to help brokers and customers manage and control risk.
It provides access to a range of services including a preferred suppliers network, technical guidance notes and a step-by-step guide, which the insurer says will help policyholders build a bespoke risk management programme.
Allianz Cornhill policyholders can also receive, monitor and update their risk improvements online, including the status of required action.
They will also be able to upload images and other supporting documents.
Andrew Miller, risk control surveyors manager, said: "Our business is no longer just about offering insurance solutions. We can now close the loop with a complete risk management service."
NIG has launched a risk management support service, Risk Aware, designed to help protect small businesses that might fall below the scope of insurers' survey criteria.
