Rating agency AM Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A (excellent) of ACE Europe.
The agency said the rating reflects its view of ACE Europe as a strategically important part of the ACE group.
It also said the rating takes into account ACE Europe's excellent capital position, strong business profile in the United Kingdom and Europe and prospective improvement in operating performance.
Offsetting these positive factors are ACE Europe's heavy reliance upon outwards reinsurance and its low level of liquidity.
