AM Best has upgraded the issuer credit rating of Zurich Insurance Company and its core subsidiaries from “a” to “a+.”
The ratings agency also affirmed the A (excellent) financial strength rating of the Swiss insurer.
AM Best said the ratings “reflect the continuing solid financial performance of the Zurich Financial Services group and its improving consolidated capital and surplus, despite third quarter 2005 hurricane losses.”
