Joe Grasso, a maritime attorney, has joined Lloyd's insurer Amlin on a six-month secondment from US firm Thacher Proffitt & Wood.
A partner of the firm, Grasso is also a member of the American Bar Association, the New York City and State Bar Associations and is on the Board of New York Maritime Incorporated.
Grasso has extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration in various jurisdictions, with an emphasis on insurance, maritime and contract matters.
At Amlin, Grasso will report to the company's group general counsel, James Healy-Pratt.
