Lloyd's insurer Amlin has formed an investment Panel in a bid to optimise the asset allocation of its management funds.

The panel will include:

  • Chief executive Charles Philipps
  • Finance director Richard Hextall
  • Interim chief investment officer Jayne Thorburn
  • Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's economics and strategy chief, Ian Harwood.
  • M&G Investment Management equity manager Richard Hughes
  • Former Scudder, Stevens & Clark managing director Richard Lewy.

    Hextall said: "Our asset base has become an important contributor to our overall return and it is crucial that we seek to optimise investment returns in alignment with our corporate strategy.

    "We are delighted that such high calibre investment professionals have agreed to sit on our panel".
