Insurance broking group Aon has upped the number of captives that it manages to over 1,000 through the acquisition of Zurich-based Nordic Mutual, a captive consulting and management organisation.
Nordic Mutual, which has operations in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway, will become part of Aon Captive Services Group, which provides captive and alternative risk transfer consulting and captive management.
The value of the deal was not disclosed. Nordic Mutual was owned jointly by three Swedish companies and one Norwegian company.
