Broking giant Aon has appointed Alun Evans as its managing director for new UK business development.

Evans will be responsible for developing relationships with Aon's customers and developing its client base.

He will lead the broker's new business development unit.

Aon deputy chairman Max Taylor said: "Evans' appointment represents another step in our continuing drive to provide the best service in the market to our clients, and develop business with new prospects.
