Broker Aon Travel has announced a number of new business wins in the wake of its re-structuring programme last year.

In 2002, Aon Travel re-branded from Aon SureTravel and sold off its travel insurance scheme for independent travel agents last year. Since then Aon has won new seven new business deals including David Urquhart Travel, Libra Holidays, Sky Holidays, International Life and Welcome Holidays.

Head of Aon Travel, Jeremy Edland, said: "We have made some significant changes to our business model and have broken the mould of normal travel insurance broking.

"Companies in the market have recognised the effectiveness of our new business model, and we are delighted with these new client wins.

"We are now working with specific insurers on developments that could dramatically change customer perceptions of travel insurance globally."
