Aon Re Global has combined its European operations with those in Israel, Bahrain and South Africa to form Aon Re Global-EMEA.
As a result, the reinsurance broker and integrated capital solutions and services, has announced seven leadership appointments in its newly formed Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) region and in the UK.
In the UK, Charlie Cantlay has assumed the role of chairman of Aon Re Global-UK, having previously served as deputy chairman.
David Ledger, who previously headed the International division of Aon Re Global-UK, has assumed the role of chief executive officer, and Alastair Speare-Cole, who has led the Direct and Re Services areas, will take on the broader role of chief operating officer at Aon Re Global-U.K.
Elsewhere, Vincent Redier, head of Aon France, will now also serve as chairman of Aon Re Global-EME; Richard Posgate, formerly Aon Re Global's chief administrative officer, will become president and chief executive officer of the new EMEA unit.
Holger Gaserow, head of reinsurance operations in Germany, Austria and the Nordic countries, will act as deputy chairman of Aon Re Global-EMEA; and Michel Hideux has been named chief executive officer of Aon Re France.
