Aon UK has appointed John Cullen as its chief financial officer and chief operating officer for it's Risk Services division.

Previously Cullen was chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Aon's Asian operation.

Aon's Risk Services division chairman Max Taylor said: "Culled joins us at a vital time in the development of Aon Limited. His long experience in financial management will help us to make the company as efficient as possible.

"His role in the management of our corporate governance responsibilities will also be crucial as the FSA takes over regulation of the insurance industry."

Cullen added: "I am delighted to be joining Aon Limited at such an important moment in its development. The new regulatory environment, plus the challenges associated with the management of a fast-growing and profitable business, offer me an exciting role in Aon's London office after my experiences with the company in Asia."
