Bermuda-based Arch Insurance Group is to use Oceanwide's Genoa cargo insurance management platform for web-based policy administration and customer service.

Arch said it aimed to use the technology to manage cargo insurance and to enable collaboration between Arch, its clients and its producers.

Arch spokeswoman Belinda Rowan said: “The online facility will increase our ability to provide our customers with online certificates, binders, policy documentation, premium billing and claims information”

Genoa's rating rules engine automatically generates premium calculations based on shipment information, as well as offering risk management tools, said Arch.

Oceanwide president and chief executive, Michael Wasserman added: “We are excited that Arch has chosen the Genoa platform, and we look forward to building a relationship with its team”
