Andrew Ball joins from from NU.

Commercial lines underwriting operation Arista Insurance has appointed Andrew Ball as schemes manager following a significant increase in the amount of scheme business being transacted by its independent brokers.

Reporting to head of schemes Simon Henderson, Ball will be tasked with further expanding Arista’s schemes portfolio across the UK.

He will be based in London, but will travel extensively to Arista’s regional offices to work alongside chosen Arista intermediaries to develop bespoke products for their selected niche markets.

Ball has worked in the insurance industry for 36 years and he was previously commercial schemes trading manager at Norwich Union.

Arista CEO Charles Earle said: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Andrew’s calibre as we work closely with our brokers to develop Arista’s scheme business.

"In this sector there is no substitute for experience and Andrew has spent time honing his considerable skills while supporting the needs of brokers large and small across the UK. We are confident that he will play a significant role in developing our scheme capabilities.”
