ASA Insurance Services is looking to expand its panel of insurers to kick-start new business.

Markerstudy Group bought ASA from AXA in December last year. ASA currently offers motor cover through showrooms and motor retailers. It provides three-year motor policies at the point of sale. AXA is underwriting old business and Markerstudy underwrites new business.

ASA chief executive Simon Clayton said it was planning to talk to AXA about increasing the panel. "It would be nice to offer a wider scope and appeal to more people in the market," said Clayton. "We would like to try to open up the portfolio."

Clayton was appointed chief executive last month after being managing director of White Horse Insurance Ireland, the MyTravel Group captive.

He said: "My aim, along with writing consistently profitable business, is to develop a far wider product base."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
