Aspen UK becomes an admitted insurer in Switzerland
Aspen Insurance today announced that the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has approved Aspen Insurance UK Limited (“AIUK”) as an admitted direct insurer in Switzerland.
AIUK is now licensed to underwrite liability, property, rail, aviation, marine, accident, credit, surety and financial and professional lines risks. The Swiss branch office is located in Zurich’s financial district and a representative office is being established in Geneva.
Aspen Insurance will target the Swiss commercial insurance market through registered insurance brokers. The focus will be on financial and professional lines including financial institutions, and other casualty lines. Policy wordings will be offered in German, French and/or English. Multilingual claims services will be provided by local adjusters with international experience.
