The Australian insurance market is enjoying strong market conditions, which is leading a market recovery.
According to Fitch Ratings latest report, strong premium growth and improved underwriting levels are fuelling confidence in the marketplace. The Brisbane-based agency attributed this to marked growth in personal lines.
However the agency warned that continued poor investment market performance and declining solvency would place a strain on capital that may not be consistent with current ratings.
