Avis Rent a Car has selected claims management specialist Town & Country Assistance for the accident management and claims recovery of its rental fleet. The contract covers rentals to both Avis corporate customers and private motorists.
According to a report, the Ipswich Based management specialist currently has an accident management fleet of 250,000 vehicles and handles 120,000 motor claims a year for clients including insurers, brokers, contract hire and leasing companies, and large corporate fleets.
Avis is looking for a reduction in its motor accident repair costs following the award of the contract, said the report.
Town & Country will repair heavy accident damage through its network of repairers as well as looking to recover liability and insurance monies from responsible parties, concluded the report.
