AXA Insurance has appointed Nick Todd as its new strategy director.

Todd will be charged with the responsibility for setting the business direction and developing strategy.

Todd said: "I am delighted to be joining Axa at such a key and important time, not only for the company, but for the industry as a whole.

"There are a lot of exciting opportunities to be explored, particularly in terms of the way in which we offer financial protection to our customers."

Previously Todd worked for Prudential where he led several strategic projects.
