Fleet panel member AXA is to offer Misys Countrywide network members who deal with the spirit unit in Bolton the option of converting their no claims discount (NCD) rated business onto their fleet contract.

The insurer joined the Countrywide fleet panel in October 2003.

In order to convert to a fleet contract, the broker’s client must have been trading for at least three years and have a minimum of five vehicles, consisting of private cars or small goods vehicles, said Misys.

Misys Insurance Management fleet manager, Tim Rogers, said: “Members who use AXA already benefit from competitive levels of commission and direct debit instalment rates, together with excellent standards of service.

He added: “Being able to transfer NCD Book and Bonus business onto a fleet contract can often be a more cost effective option for the client, in turn enabling the broker to secure or retain the business.

“Since it was launched we have received very positive feedback from brokers.

AXA UK commercial volume intermediary manager Jim Callan said the new NCD option would provide the insurer with an additional way of recruiting business through a cost effective distribution channel.
