Hertfordshire-based Warranty Holdings Group has appointed AXA to underwrite its 'other products' business from January 1, 2004.
Approximately 26% of Warranty Holdings' business is accounted for by its 'other products' operations, which include gap finance, vehicle replacement insurance, MoT insurance, tyre insurance and key protection.
Warranty Holdings, which was acquired by Ford Motor Company in May 2001, has been looking to appoint a new partner since the previous underwriter, NIG, announced its withdrawal from this area of the market in early 2003.
