Axis Capital Holdings Ltd, the parent company for loss adjusters Axis, has recorded a 29% profit for the first half of the year.
The company said profits reached $418.6m, and it was due to a boost in investment income.
The pre-tax net investment income is up 67.2% to $185.2m compared to the same period last year where it stood at $110.7m.
The company's combined ratio slightly declined to 78.9% for the first six months of 2006 compared to 76.4% for the same half of 2005.
