Axis Capital today said several US insurance regulators who are investigating suspicious practices in the US have subpoenaed it as part of ongoing investigations.
In a statement the company said it has “ subpoenas or requests for information from various state insurance regulators regarding incentive commission agreements, fictitious and inflated quotes, tying and related issues.”
The company said it “does not believe that it has engaged in the improper business practices that are the focus of the inquiries".
