Berkeley Alexander has criticised rival company Endsleigh over its treatment of students during holiday periods.

A statement from Berkeley Alexander read: "Endsleigh, despite having its own sales desk on campus sites around the country, says it does not include vacations in its annual student possessions policy – leaving students with the dilemma of carting all their valuables back home three times a year or leaving them unprotected."

Berkeley Alexander claims to offer a better service because it covers possessions for holiday periods. "

An Endsleigh spokesman said that its equivalent policy was cheaper than BA's and vacation cover could be had for a £5 top -up.
