Bermuda-based Allied World Assurance Company is sponsoring Tim Law, one of the UK's leading Etchells' yachtsmen, to sail in this year's Etchells class world championship.
Law will be joined by Steve Girling and Mark Spruce on his 31ft Etchells, Katemba. The team, currently ranked eighth, will race against 98 other teams from around the globe, including renowned Americas Cup yachtsmen Dennis Conner and John Bertrand.
The Etchells class world championship is being held in the Huraki Gulf in Auckland, New Zealand. The week-long event involves nine scheduled races and commences on 3 November.
