Jim White, of damage management company OneCall, has been appointed chairman of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA), as part of several changes to its executive committee.

The newly elected vice chair, Steven Richford, will take over as BDMA chair at the end of next year and will co-ordinate the BDMA Convention 2003.

Outgoing chairman Jonathan Davison, will remain as the second vice chair during the coming year.

In addition, a new Executive Chair, representing independent organisations among the membership, will be ratified early in the New Year.

White said: "I am very conscious of the responsibility that comes with the role of BDMA Chairman and one of my key aims will be to deliver increased value to the industry as a whole and in particular to our members, through education, representation and significant member benefits."
