Motorcycle insurer Bennetts revved up the launch of their on-line quote facility by calling on motorbike display team – the Purple Helmets.
Eight stunt riders from the Isle of Man team sat astride a specially converted Honda motorbike for the event, which puts Bennetts in pole position in the on-line bike insurance market. Motorcycle insurance had been difficult to obtain on the web.
The online facility enables a standard risk rider to obtain a quote for their bike in seconds following just a few basic questions. They can also take out cover offered by 15 different insurers and pay by credit card.
Mike Elkin, Bennetts group marketing manager, said: "We are taking the lead in this area, providing specialist motorcycle insurance on the internet for the first time, ensuring bikers are not deprived of any privileges enjoyed by motorists."
