The National Indemnity Company, a member of the Berkshire Hathaway group, has announced plans to increase its participation on Lloyd's Syndicate 839 from £62.5m £100m.
The announcement by Trenwick Managing Agents also included plans to provide a 'Qualifying Quota Share' of £30m for the 2003 Year of Account.

"We continue to work with Trenwick Group, Berkshire Hathaway and others to procure an increase in Syndicate 839's capacity for the 2003 Year of Account. The necessary Funds at Lloyd's to support Syndicate 44 are already available."
