BGL Group associate director to join Swinton claims team

Swinton Group has appointed Dennis Owens to the position of claims manager. Owens has over ten years of insurance experience and joins Swinton from BGL Group, where he was an associate director.

Within the insurer development and product team, he will work on Swinton’s claims strategy, supplier management and customer experience.

Swinton director of insurer development and product Kirsty Walker said: “Dennis has a wealth of commercial experience and understands the importance of risk management and stakeholder engagement. His new role will see him overseeing our claims processes and looking into ways to enrich our customer interaction and develop further commercial links with suppliers.”

Owens added: “I am excited to be joining an established brand like Swinton during a period of transformative change. I look forward to working in the team to drive industry leading customer improvements across the complete claims cycle.”

In August it was rumored that owner Covéa might be looking to sell Swinton, which has closed hundreds of branches and recently faced a large restructuring bill as it looks to update its model.
