Joe Clowes, 55, has been appointed director of business strategy solutions at M Consulting.
Clowes was formerly director in charge of the middle market, specialty business, health care and motor trade at Marsh. He was with the brokers for 37 years.
He is now responsible for distribution strategy, product design and development, branding, customer relationship management and business strategies at the insurance consultancy.
"Most of my life has been spent in the small to medium enterprise market," he said. "After 37 years I thought I just wanted to do something different."
