BIBA has signed up Folgate Underwriting Agency (FUA) to give its members a personal accident and sickness scheme.
BIBA chief executive Mike Williams said: "This product provides a valuable low cost alternative to Permanent Health Insurance or Critical Illness at the same time as enhanced lump sum benefits for more serious injuries that will necessitate a lifestyle change."
FUA underwrites the scheme on behalf of AXA Insurance UK plc.
The scheme offers standard personal accident and sickness benefits and lump sums for quadriplegia and paraplegia, payments for loss of fingers or toes, in addition to damage to personal clothing and cash following hospitalisation.
Ian Gadsdon, Head of Personal Accident at FUA said: "BIBA members who sign up will benefit from a start commission of 22.5% increasing on business support plus the option for an easy to use in-house quote tool reducing the need to refer."
The scheme will be launched at the BIBA conference in Bournemouth next week.
