Barlow Lyde & Gilbert's aerospace group has revealed it is advising aviation insurers on the crash of the Turkish Airlines aircraft on Wednesday evening.

The aircraft was nearing the end of a flight from Istanbul to Diyarbakir. The airport was shrouded in fog which caused the cancellation of a number of flights.

The jet came down in a field short of the airport runway and burst into flames. The crash resulted in the loss of 75 lives.

Aviation and travel law specialist partner Richard Gimblett, and Aerospace Group senior assistant Mert Hifzi, have travelled to the area to provide assistance.
