Santa may have something special in his sack this year for a number of ex-Independent Insurance executives.
Rumour has it that the now not so flamboyant Michael Bright (Independent's ex-chief executive) has been seen in the City recently.
This has led to conjecture that some former Independent staff may receive arrest warrants in the coming weeks. Could it be that all the false starts from the Serious Fraud Office and the City police are finally over, heralding the start of the legal case of the century?
And it is believed the firm's ex-managing director Phil Condon has contacted a few old mates to "test the waters" about him coming back with a new venture.
