Brit Insurance Holdings has appointed Mike Sibthorpe as underwriting director of its London market centre.
The London market is the largest of Brit's three underwriting centres with about £600m of capacity for 2004.
The London market underwriting centre covers business written by both Brit Insurance Ltd and Brit Syndicate 2987, and consists of the following divisions: accident and financial, casualty, marine, property and space. Roger Field continues to have overall underwriting responsibility for the three underwriting centres.
