Brit Insurance Holdings has appointed Mark Cassidy as a self-funded medical expenses underwriter.
Cassidy will underwrite US specific and aggregate medical insurance for the Lloyd's company.
Mark was previously the underwriter of Lloyd's Syndicate 5000, with over 20 years' experience in the UK insurance market.
Brit claims that this class of business will account for £30m of premium income over the next 12 months.
