Lloyd’s syndicate expands hull team

Brit Insurance has appointed Bob Clarkson as its senior marine hull underwriter in its Lloyd’s syndicate.

Clarkson will join Simon Stonehouse, Anthony Forsyth and John Higham in Brit’s marine hull team.

Clarkson has moved from QBE where he was responsible for underwriting marine hull and war classes for over a decade.

At Brit he will be responsible for building risks, increased value and hull war.

Brit senior marine hull underwriter, Bob Clarkson, said: “I’m extremely confident that the combination of experience we have will generate significant new opportunities for profitable growth.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
