Brit Insurance has joined the G6 group.
G6 is a group of managing agency representatives working with Lloyd's to look at making the process of accounting and settlement more efficient.
Brit chief operating officer Kathy Lisson said: “The work of G6 is advantageous to the London Market in its entirety and Brit Insurance is delighted to add its expertise to this important group. Brit Insurance has long been committed to market reform and has taken a very active role in market leadership, systems development and performance improvement.
"Our joining G6 is a natural extension of these efforts and places us well to help ensure consistent standards are used across the market and that processes are re-designed effectively helping to streamline efficiencies."
Brit is also involved in other initiatives such as the Market Reform Group, RI3K and electronic claims initiatives.
Lisson added: “Electronic trading, whether through hubs or peer-to-peer, remains a clear goal and significant progress has been made. We look forward to working with the other members of G6 and contributing further to the reform process.”
