Broker Network Underwriting, the underwriting agency of The Broker Network, has announced the launch of an SME policy backed by Charrington Insurance.

Underwriting manager Debi Mawer said: "We are delighted to announce the launch of a branded SME product, featuring a bespoke policy wording, tailored to the needs of our members.

"We aim to write £1.5m of SME business in the first year, with a target premium spend of £1,000 - £15,000 for a variety of commercial and industrial risks."

Charrington Insurance schemes and affinities director Adrian Thone said: "We are delighted to support Broker Network in the new SME venture through our partnership approach to scheme business.

"Our own underwriters in Harrogate will be able to spend more of their time on developing the larger premium cases where our individual underwriting approach has been so well received by the members".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
