The number of brokers already preparing for regulation is encouraging, according to IT solutions company Misys.
It said 297 firms were using Equip, its online regulatory support package, to prepare for compliance in 2005.
Misys said it had seen an increase in the number of brokers, both small and large, signing up to Equip.
Equip includes an online training and competence programme, as well as a regulatory guide and other features.
