BT's research and technology business, BTexact Technologies, is to sponsor the International Underwriting Association's (IUA) forthcoming seminar `eRisk - the new frontier'.

The seminar will cover several areas of eRisk including privacy, measurement and insurance.

It follows the digital risk working party's Digital Risk Debate in March and aims to provide answers to questions raised there.

Speakers will include representatives from legal and risk management backgrounds as well as claims, broking and underwriting.

IUA digital risk working party chairman David Ovenden commented: "Digital risk is of increasing importance and should appear on every company's agenda, especially those in the telecommunications industry.

"We are delighted that BTexact has agreed to sponsor this event and look forward to working with them to produce a seminar that is of real value to the re/insurance industry."

The seminar is taking place on 30 May at the London Underwriting Centre.
