AXA is to develop full-cycle EDI capability for its household products, in partnership with Budget Insurance Services.

AXA joined Budget's household panel in March 2004. It said it is the first insurer on Budget's household panel to implement full-cycle EDI.

Initially, three different products will be available. They are ABC, ABC without Family Legal Protection and Home Assistance, and Dimensions.

AXA personal lines account manager Mark Andrew said: “The joint household full-cycle EDI development with Budget is an important move for AXA as this co-operation is the latest step in fulfilling our strategy of implementing full-cycle EDI capabilities with as many of our broker partners as possible.”

Budget product development director Simon Jackson said: “This development will certainly improve the end-to-end processing of our household business, helping to reduce costs and assist account management.

"We are keen to work with the rest of the panel, where the capability exists.”
