Congregational & General (C&G) has become the latest insurer to write to its Hill House Hammond (HHH) policyholders asking them to renew elsewhere.

Sources said that the property insurer had a "sizeable" household account with HHH.

It is understood the letter asks HHH policyholders to renew their business with C&G through another high street broker, A-Plan Insurance.

The move follows Zurich's decision to write to its HHH policyholders asking them to renew their policies with Zurich through a broker rather than renew through Norwich Union Direct, as reported exclusively in Insurance Times (11 March).

C&G management were not available for comment as Insurance Times went to press.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
