Canopius Group, the holding company of Canopius Managing Agents, the specialist Lloyd's underwriting group, has announced results for the year ended 31 December 2004.
Gross written premiums for the year was reported as £228m, with a 2.2% increase in rates. Profit after tax was recorded as £14.4m
The Group's participation on Lloyd's syndicate 4444 increased to £101m in 2005 from £80m in 2004. It predicted a further increase in participation in 2006. Overall capacity increased from £233m in 2004 to £240m in 2005.
