Capita has acquired Aon Claims Management, the delegated claims operation of Aon UK, for an undisclosed sum.
Aon Claims Management provides live delegated authority claims management for commercial insurance.
Capita currently manages open commercial claims with £12.5bn and said the acquisition will fit neatly into its operation, complementing the existing capabilities across all classes of business and bringing extensive expertise.
Dermot Joyce, executive director, Capita Commercial Services, said: “The acquisition of Aon Claims Management reinforces Capita Insurance Services' position as the leading provider of insurance claims servicing in the UK.
"It will enhance our already substantial capabilities within this arena and we, and our customers, will benefit from the additional expertise that it brings.”
Aon Claims Management's 103 staff will transfer to Capita and will continue to work from their existing locations in Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
