Capita McLarens has been appointed to handle a £20m claim on behalf of Zurich.
The loss adjuster's Complex and Major Loss division will handle the claim for a fire at a Yorkshire-based pudding factory.
The blaze caused extensive damage after fire spread rapidly within polystyrene panels.
The Capita McLarens team appointed to handle the claim is led by David Pinkney, a chartered loss adjuster.
Capita Insurance Services managing director Bill Dye said: "This is the second of two major loss claims we
have handled for Zurich in recent months and one of the largest to date.
"It reflects the depth and breadth of resources which we can bring to bear on major claims through our dedicated division and demonstrates further our
commitment to providing skilled technical services to the marketplace."
