A personal injury mediation scheme dedicated to lower value personal injury claims has been launched by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

The scheme is targeted at claims of less than£300,000 and uses a panel of experienced personal injury mediators

It was developed in conjunction with professionals active in the personal injury field, including leading law firms and insurers.

Richard Schaverien, partner with Brighton solicitors Howlett Clarke Crowther Wood said: "This scheme provides the right setting for the parties to find resolution to the issues that so often arise in personal injury claims, without the risk and uncertainly of going to court.

“This fast track scheme is an excellent forum for the parties to reach an agreement within a structured time environment, which is easily accessible and relatively inexpensive."
