American IT giants CGI Group and HP have completed the delivery of a business platform for Lloyd's initiative Kinnect.

CGI Group and HP claim the new platform will help the initiative, formerly known as Project Blue Mountain, to improve trading relationships within the commercial lines market.

Kinnect claims the platform enables underwriters to improve their working practices by giving them better accuracy of data.

Kinnect CEO Ashok Gupta said: "The flexibility, quality of delivery and the personal commitment of CGI and HP has helped us to build this exceptional venture from the ground up."

CGI Group Europe managing director Gavin Chapman said: "CGI is delighted to be a key partner in this exciting new venture, particularly as Kinnect is perfectly aligned with our growth plans within the insurance sector and our key target markets in Europe and the US."
