Markel International's Australian subsidiary, RE Brown Australia, has been renamed Markel Australia Pty Ltd.
Jo Lindsay-Eschbank, previously underwriting manager at the company's Sydney office, is to take over as managing director from Peter Green. Lindsay-Eschbank will be supported by claims manager Katrina Spencer and underwriting managers Liz Bagot and Andrew McInnes.
Markel International chief operating officer Jeremy Cooke said: "Peter has been instrumental in building up our Australian operation to its current strong position in the local market. We have both agreed now is the time for the business to have a new managing director."
