App to allow brokers to get quotes on their iPhone

Chartis has launched an app for two of its SME products for brokers.

The new app will allow brokers to get quotes and email it to clients.

They can then bind the business and send the policy to the insured.

Chartis's Tom Doherty, executive director, major and corporate accounts practice, said: “This is another market-leading initiative for our brokers in the mid-corporate market."

The app was developed by insurance software house Acturis.

“We hope that this will enable brokers to capitalise on the immediate window to cross-sell products which meet additional client needs – and price and bind them on the spot," Doherty added.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
