Chaucer Holdings' pre-tax profits will drop from £38.2m to £33m under the international IFRS accounting standards, it was announced today.
The Lloyd's insurer added that net assets would fall from £166.8m to £153.9m because of the new rules.
Chaucer said it will report first half results under the IFRS rules for the first time in September.
