One name which many held to be dead and buried was Chester Street Insurance Holdings. But, Insurance Times has heard that the bust company may have connections with the landmark Barker asbestos case.
It was widely held that no insurers were involved in the case, with defendant lawyers acting directly for the employers and the government. But, rumour has it that Chester Street was involved, but as it is insolvcent no claims could be made against it.
