Jardine Lloyd Thompson directors received a surprising bonus last week.
The global broker gave five of its top bods shares under its new “all employees share ownership scheme”. John Barton, Ken Carter, Dominic Collins, John Hastings-Bass and George Stuart-Clarke received 39 shares (worth 481p each).
But Barton decided to cash in his chips before stepping down as chairman. He sold 40,000 shares for £191,200 (at 478p each) earlier this week.
